This poem (especially that last verse) makes me smile. As someone born into a large family of 10+ siblings, it's extremely relatable. My parents were much like you in that they had us all help with different things around the house and farm as we were able. Thereby demonstrating the perks of having children. 😂

Yes, it's good to get them while they still want to help. They're slowly picking up cooking duties; they're just moments away from being able to cook rice themselves. I told them they won't get their Asian card until they learn (which my son took VERY seriously).

I'm glad you enjoyed the poem! I hope it inspires fatherhood in you one day. Although from the sound of it I imagine you're an active uncle....
